Terms of Service
By installing or using Aho ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Aho. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the phone number you register is yours.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your phone and SIM secure. Anyone with access to your phone number can sign into your Aho account via SMS code. We're not liable for actions taken from your account.
One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts to win multiple prizes for the same hunt is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
3. How the game works
Aho hosts treasure hunts of several types (geographic, riddle, flash riddle). Each hunt has a target, a time window, and a prize that may decrease over time.
- You may submit only one answer per hunt.
- For geographic hunts, your photo and GPS location must be at the target. We verify location automatically.
- For riddle hunts, answers are reviewed by our team.
- The first valid submission wins the prize for that hunt.
4. Prizes
If you win, we'll notify you in the app and via push notification. Prize delivery timing and method are at our discretion. We aim to deliver within 24 hours of verification but cannot guarantee specific timing. Prizes have no cash value unless explicitly stated.
If we determine — at our sole discretion — that a submission was won through cheating, automation, fake location, or any abuse, we may void the win and award the prize to the next valid entrant.
5. Acceptable use
When using Aho, you agree NOT to:
- Submit photos that are sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or illegal.
- Submit a winner quote that contains slurs, hate speech, threats, personal information about others, or anything else inappropriate. Quotes are reviewed by us before being shown publicly and may be rejected without explanation.
- Use scripts, bots, fake GPS, modified app builds, or any other means to bypass our verification.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the location of an active hunt outside the app's intended interface.
- Harass other users or our team.
- Upload a profile picture that is offensive or impersonates another person.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
6. Content you submit
You retain ownership of photos and quotes you upload. By submitting them, you grant Aho a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display them inside the app — including showing your winner photo, name, and quote to other users in the spotlight and past-winners archive — for as long as your account exists.
You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you upload (you took the photo, you wrote the quote, etc.).
7. Closed beta
Aho is currently in closed beta. The app is provided as-is, may contain bugs, and features may change or be removed at any time. We may end the beta or change participation rules without notice.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete Account.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you violated these terms, abused the service, or for legal reasons.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee that hunts will be free of bugs, that prizes will be delivered on any specific schedule, or that the app will be available at all times.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Aho and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, lost prizes you believed you should have won, or harm caused while travelling to a hunt location.
You are responsible for your own safety. Don't put yourself in danger to reach a hunt location. Don't trespass on private property. Obey local laws and traffic rules.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date above and notify users in the app on the next launch after a change. Continued use of Aho after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Egypt.
